May 22, 2013

The day had come.

No more "Ya, I'm with the Fab" responses or every seat claimed in my Subaru. There would be no more "Aslan" jokes, no more Mexi truck, and Kait would now (temporarily) claim the tallest spot out of the group.

We all helped Cara pack, and then it was time for good-bye's....

Next in Line

After Cara opened her mission call, it seemed as if everyone was on a mission call high. Everyone wanted to feel the adrenaline, suspense, wonder, and excitement of opening their very own destiny or watching the white envelope peel away, revealing a best friend's fate.

We soon got our wish.

The search for certain numbers on the envelope to better speculate Kaitlyn's fate, the delicious food, and the all-out decorations (flawlessly put on by the one-and-only Liz Wright :) all added up to that time once again....

Throwing It Back...

It was as if the finale of the Bachelorette had just been run. Girls gasped, some hearts stopped, some melted, minds became made up that they need to find love. When the announcement was made on October 16, 2012, that young women could now serve a mission at age 19, it was no different. Girls gasped, hearts stopped and melted all in one, and minds became made up that the gospel needed to be their true love. The Fab Five was no exception. First it was Cara, then soon after Kait, then Kim, and the possibility still hangs in the air for the last two.

From here we throw it back to where it all started...

(Side note: Just keep in mind, I was in Hawaii listening over the phone at the time...)

Soooo

It's simple. There are five of us: Kim, Kait, Kenz, Cara, and Sara, who are all best friends even when we are oceans apart. With time on my hands I, the Hawaii beach bum, have realized two things: one, I miss my friends and two, I am so proud and amazed with what they are doing with their lives. I wanted to capture and remember the things we accomplish during our time away from each other. And so, the Fab 5 blog was born. Simply put, it keeps track of the Five in one place, because we can't be.
