Cara's First Letter

ALOOOOHA!!!:) 

Oh my family that I love oh so dearly....

I love the MTC!!:) The day i got dropped off was a record of missionaries entering the MTC... 700+!! And they just opened up the second mtc (mtc west) two days ago!! Its cool that I can say I was here when that first opened. WOW I love the MTC, i love our church. I love learning more and more, every single day!:) So i absolutely love my District, and my zone, and my roommates, and my companion, and most of all.... my teachers!! I know, with allll my heart that Heavenly Father places people in your life for a reason. My teachers and companion are so perfect for me. I was feeling discouraged one class, and my teacher could tell, so after he whipped out a scripture for me to read. It was really cool, and really needed at the moment. Haha I love all my roommates. They are way too much and fun and we laugh way too much! One of our goals is to be more quiet... because we are constantly laughing. BUT the great thing is, once we want to serious and invite the spirit, it only takes a matter of seconds it is SO great. They're all singers though... haha so we auditioned for singing in the devotional... and sang in the choir.. and yeah, they all sing. and are really good at it too. Then theres me... and I'm... not.

The MTC is like a high school reunion. HOLY SMOKES. haha i feel like i know everyone here... my companion gets a little bugged.. because i literally see someone i know every where i turn!! But it is so great. I love that everyone is here and loves it and is here for the same reason:) It was really sad... yesterday I went to the front desk to pick something up, and there was theee cutest sister missionary ever----going home... because she was "loosing her desire and was always feeling tired" I just want to let y'all know, I will NEVER loose my desire. And I'm never tired. I dont know how, but every morning I shoot out of bed. Ya- hard to believe I know. I love being here so much!! I love learning sooo much. The main reason why I wanted to serve a mission is because i know that this gospel blesses your LIFE and brings you TRUE joy and happiness and I am learning WHY it does more and more everyday. I love teaching investigators, I start off really nervous.. but after I'm done.. I'm like, wait- lets keep going!!  I love feeling the spirit so stongly- so often. Its a wonderful thing that I get to do. I get to REPRESENT Jesus Christ. How cool!? I love saying that:) You know how you get those light bulb- ah-ha moments. Ya- I'm getting those every second. Its really cool... 

I'm known as the deep thinker. Haha I'll ask questions that no one really can answer, so we get the whole class involved and get it answered. And we will discuss it for a while. Its cool that I can ask a question and get so many different answers-that all work perfect. 

My testimony is getting stronger and stronger everyday. I know Heavenly Father is blessing me so much. I am so grateful to be here, I am so grateful for a Dad and Brother that has taught me how to work hard, Mom who has taught me how to have the spirit, and siblings who have taught me everything and more. Jorgen- I always think of you before I pray!! Prayers work. They really truely do. I have so much to learn still and patience is something I am trying really hard to get better at... I just wish that I prepared more and focused more in Seminary and Church. So there's my advice to you Gavin.... take advantage of it all:) Because its hard, really hard. And you have to put in a lot of work! Anyway- I could keep going but I got some Laundry to do. 

HIP HIP HORRAY FOR HAWAII!!!- Next time I email you i will be in Hawaii:)

Mom I love you- and I am so grateful for you cupcakes!! Haha when we got the cupcakes we all attacked it and chowed it down in like 5 minutes. Yep. I Love letters... so keep em coming:)

This (below) is what Cara wrote to me when she was in the MTC (May 30). Never have I written a more enthusiastic missionary—that's sister Olsen for you :)

I LOVE THE MTC!!! Kenz it is soooo amazing. I love being here. I love learning so much. I know that this gospel can and is going to CHANGE peoples lives. I literally can't wait until Tuesday to go to Hawaii to spread the gospel. I truely am beyond grateful to be here where I am at and know all that I do. hahaha I see kasey. I SEE EVERYONE!!! Its Lone Peak. So weird. Like high school reunion. Every day, every where. Haha and I see Elder Fotu everywhere too!! He is so cute and doing so good! I love seeing everyone. We're all here doing the same thing and its so great to always be talking about the gospel!! I love the guys in my Zone. Haha they are way too much fun. I'm out of time though,. Kenz i love you!! Pray for you too!! Write me back!!! Let everyone know that the MTC is the greatest place ever. Its literally Gods army base:) And i'm so happy to be a part of it and work harder and harder everyday.
