Hello there familia! This week is dedicated to the best friend ever!!! KIM JOSSE's going to NEW JERSEY!! AHHHHH I'm so exciting!!!! :) Wow it's so fun to talk with everybody about the work I'm doing, because they're all doing the same!
Well, what a great week I had! It started off with an interesting experience. We're teaching this lady named Marta whose husband is LDS. We have been trying to get her to commit to praying every night, but she always says she forgets. Well, this week we decided to ask her little son if he could help is mom out. We asked if he could pray with her to help her remember. He kept telling us no and that he was nervous. Finally he admits that the reason is that he didn't know how. We teach him how simple it is, and then he still refuses. We told him he could just thank Heavenly Father for all the things he is grateful for. He continued on and started explaining that he didn't really like his family very much. His poor mom was sitting right there! Now, this was in English so I'm not sure how much of it she understood... but it broke my heart! Well, come to find out he tells us that he doesn't believe in God. This little 9 year old boy doesn't believe in God. It broke my heart to hear everything that he was saying. It really made me recognize how grateful I am for my Heavenly Father. It broke my heart to hear this little boy talking like this about the two most important things to me. Family, and our Father in Heaven. I have no idea what I'd do without the support of my family. I'm so so grateful to have such an AMAZING family! I'm so beyond grateful to have a knowledge of my Father in Heaven. This experience really solidified my testimony. It made me recognize the desire I have to invite others unto what I have! Ahhh awesome! Anddd to end the story, we got him to pray for us at the very end. :) We'll see what happens! But that was a miracle in and of itself!
Ha so this week we had a bit of a scare. At 5:15 in the morning we wake up to a huge boom! We look to see what it was... and come to find out our closet door had fallen. Then we recognized that we forgot to lock the door. Well, that had me scared! We went back in our bedroom for a bit... then Hermana Wallis said she was going to grab her wallet and just say if anybody's in here you can have my wallet, but we want you to leave. Well... ya nobody was there. Ha but wow did that give me a scare!! Ha I better learn to be a little bit more defensive! I just go into shock in scary experiences! Hahaha so funny.
It's Luz' wedding this week! :) Haha we wrote the invitations. You can imagine how cute those were with hand writing like mine :) Hahaha too bad I didn't get ANY of the artistic genes in the fam. Wow... struggle. haha but I'm so excited for that!! Her baptism is now the 31st. She is seriously AMAZING! You wouldn't even know that she wasn't a member! She's AWESOME! If I get transferred before that... I'm going to be so sad! Ahh we have the best people here! Ha the worst thing about this place is that we get fed SO much. Ha we had dinner at a members this week, and then we went to Hermana Ruiz right after. Ya she alwaysss cooks for us, so I begged my comps to just mention that we had already had dinner. Well we did, then she was like how about just a little snack. Ya we got a FULL plate full. Shoved down 2 dinners in a row. Hahaha right on eh? Aww they're so sweet though! Transfers are next week... so we'll see what changes! I'm pretty sure I'll stay here. For some reason I get the feeling that I'll get my Visa sometime in September. I'm not feeling the whole 6 month wait. I guess we'll see where the Lord wants me though! Haha :)
Well, I'm going to sign off because I want to write Josh and a few others but I sure love you all! Thanks for all the support! If I don't get a letter to all the family I will try next week. We're going to play sports today so mom may be my only letter! Lo Siento... she's top priority. Haha LOVE YOU!!!
