Well, I've almost made it through transfer number one! Wow, the beginning went by SOO slow... but now that it's over I can't believe it! I'm thinking I'll stay in this area, but I guess anything could happen!
This week was great in an interesting way, because ou numbers weren't great. Luz was supposed to be married this week. We had sent out the invitations and everything, but then the immigration papers didn't work out. Her husband needs to renew his passport which will unfortunately put the wedding back about 2 months or so. Big bummer, but I guess the Lord does things for a reason. Who knows?? Perhaps it's because her husband is going to get baptized with her now?! We've never been able to teach him because he works ALOT, but I guess he told her that he wants to be baptized just not right now! That would be great! I'm super bummed that I may not get to be here for her baptism, because I may be in Argentina by then?? Oh well, whatever happens happens.
Well, this week was FULL of miracles! One day we went out to part of our area that we had never been. Ya we were just laughing because they were all "white houses." We thought surely there wouldn't be any hispanics, but the Lord sent us there for a reason so we went searching. We asked a nice little lady and she told us that there were right down the street. We went there, and ended up talking to a lady and her 3 little girls for 2 HOURS! They had SOO many questions! As we left they told us that usually they wouldn't answer the door, but for some reason they did. Well ya, that definitely wasn't by coincidence! It was awesome!
Next we had a lesson on Saturday that just went amazing! I talked more than I ever have before! Our investigator Luis was in 2 Nephi 17 and we gave him the book of mormon last Saturday! That's over 200 pages in!! He is very knowledgable about the Bible which really helps with our lessons because he is able to participate alot! Out of nowhere I decided to put a date to the baptismal invitation, so they're set for the 21st of September! That probably won't be firm, but they did accept to it!
We have an amazing lady in our ward who is such a sweetheart! We call her like an hour before and she is willing to come out. On Saturday she went to the temple twice, went out with 3 differents sets of missionaries, and then stayed up until 2am cooking us food for Sunday (she made tamales... mmm they were so delicious!). She came to a few lessons with us, and they just all seemed to go so well! I felt like there were so many things that she said that were exactly what I needed to hear. She's adorable!
We've been working with the less actives quite a bit, and it's been going geat! This week 3 of the less active families showed up! One of them is really just doing amazing! She gave us 3 referrals this week, and is going out with the missionaries this upcoming week! She's such a doll. :) It's so amazing to watch all these people flip there lives completely around by coming unto Christ!
Sorry this letter was kind of all over the place. Ha I just wanted to share a few quick stories. Sorry if they didn't make sense as well, because I don't have time for all the detail. :/ This work is great! It's hard, but the hard times are the times where I find myself building my testimony the most. Then the Lord comes by and poors miracles upon his laborers :) Hope all is going well for you all! Love you so much! Thanks for all the support! Sounds like things have been going pretty well, and that's always great to hear! LOVE YOU!
