WOAH I've made it to the 3 month mark! Ahhhh that was the slowest... but kinda fastest 3 months I've ever experienced! Ha slowest when I think about how it has only been 3 months since I've been home... but fastest when that means that I am already a sixth of the way finished with my mission. Ahhh I better get on the groove pretty quickly!
So this week was wonderful! We had a lesson with a the DREAM investigator that everybody wants! :) Her name is Teresa and she has a 15 year old daughter named Natali. We knocked on her door a few weeks ago, after a neighbor telling us that there was a hispanic living there. We knocked 3 times and finally on the 3rd time she opened the window to talk to us. We started off with somos misioneros de la iglesia de jesucristo de los santos de los ultimos dias. Instantly she shuts the window, and before we knew it she was at the door. We set up a church tour with her... she came and it was wonderful! Then we set up a lesson with her, she came and it was wonderful as well! Come to find out she told us we had been an answer to her prayes! We shared with her the first vision and I asked what she though about it, and she was like ya I can believe that! She is willing to pray about anything we ask her about! :) I'm so excited about her!! And her daughter is so darling! It's always fun to talk to them because they speak English, so I can really get to know them and befriend them while Hermana Wallis does her work! I still get to know the Spanish speakers... but it takes a lot more work!
RECORD WEEK at church! 6 investigators there!! Ohhh boy was that exciting!! Now that meant me being alone with a few of them... so uh a bit rough. Ha but it was so great!
The Elders had a baptism, so I had the opportunity of going to that. It was wonderful! The cute lady was bearing testimony to our investigator Luz about how amazing it felt. Aww it was so wonderful! I'm so excited to have an investigator be BAPTIZED! Soon enough we're going to be on fire! Our investigators are getting there! Except who knows if I'll be here :/ Ahhh It's going to be in September! I feel it. It's kinda bitter sweet though, because I want to be here for the baptisms here if they follow through... but I also just want to get started in Argentina! Especially so I can be immersed in the Language!
Yesterday we had another break through. We're working with the most darling Menos Activo family and one of them is just so stubborn. Well, yesterday he said he's really going to try and make it to Hermana Wallis' talk in 2 weeks! Usually committing to something doesn't mean much to hispanics... but to him it does! AHHH It's so exciting! :)
Well, I hope all is going well back at home! I'm doing pretty well out hear! I was reading in Alma today and recognized the importance of having our ups and downs in missionary work. If we have too much joy our joy will exhaust us, but if we have too much disappointment our disappointment will exhaust us... so the Lord gives me my downs to balance the ups! It's amazing how I can go from feeling so so down to feeling on top of the world after having an amazing lesson! I'm so grateful to be sharing the "good news" with the people of Argentina! What a blessing it is that my Father trusts me to do such an important job. Woahh the pressure is on ;) But truly I love it! I'm so grateful to be a part of this work today! I can surely see it building back home as well, so keep it up!
Hmm so random story... I have like eggs for every meal of my day. Today I cracked my egg and it was bloody! That BLOODY Egg (sorry I couldn't resist for Nana and Mom) Haha don't worry I'm righteous I promise! Ha but ya I think I almost got too grossed out to eat another. Ahhh so terrible! GROSS! Anyway on that note, have a fantastic week! Love you all! Hope all is going well :) Sure do miss you lots and lots... I don't think I prepared myself too well for being away from home considering I came home every week at college! I'm getting the hang of things though, and I know that every trial has a purpose! Love you! :) Thanks for all the letters!! I LOVE THEM!!
