Malolele

Last week was transfers! Wow! Our zone is changed SO much! Its crazy! So sad too, our zone was super close. This new zone is going to be great though, I cant wait! I'm so so glad that I am staying in maui!! I wish I could stay on this Island all my mission. Our District leaders are the best. So willing to do anything they can to help us out. Love them! What great missionaries are out serving the Lord. They're also our body gaurds too. Quick story- Last night I was in Kihei on exchanges.... and some creepy neighbors were outside yelling at us, and just ya... being creepy and stalkish... so we called the Piilani elders (two big Tongans) and they were there in two seconds. Scared off the creep-o's and kept watch:) They're moving the Sisters to a different place now though so no need to worry.

Just a story for you- I'm P-day coordinator and it was P-day and we didn't have an activity planned. So I was like, "shoots! We gotta find a hike!" So I went in to "Dad mode" thinking I'll just find some trail that goes somewhere and make it interesting. So we are driving through the mountain and we see a trail so we pull over and try it out. Turns out the trail was just a lil pathway to the ocean, so I was thinking "that's kinda torchure to have everyone drive all the way here to Napili and just take a walk to the ocean." So I looked to the left and spotted a cool cliff just a lil bit down yonder. So I told sister willis, " lets go find a way to get to that cliff!" She looked at me like, "you psycho, theres no trail" I said, "no need." So we take off and head toward the cliff. As we approached the cliff, we noticed there was... alot of trees and bushes and all sorts of hawaiian plants in the way. No worries- that didn't stop me! (Dad always found a way- I could too!) So I headed into the trees. LOOOOONG STORY SHORT- we never made it to the top of the cliff, instead- I came back with rooster poop all over my shoes, spiders and webs all in my hair, bugs in my bum, and my legs were covered in this splinter stingy netal type stuff. Hahahaha sorry to disappoint dad. I'll try again. Moral of the story- don't wait last minute to plan things.

Another funny story- We were hiking the rocks along the ocean trying to get a good look at the sea turtles and beautiful colorful fishes... and BAM, the biggest wave, out of no where completely knocks me. And thats the closest I've been to the water haha.. drenched.

Well! Exchanges with Sister piutau is always an interesting experience! She's the Tongan Sister and she just does her own thang. We went tracting and let me tell you- theres no hiding from the missionaries when your with her! She gunna find you! Haha she follows people to their backyard, she'll just walk into their homes, she'll yell Aloha outside the home until someone answers! Haha SO funny. She doesn't care, but neither do the people because she's Tongan. Its just super funny.

My new companion is sister Mottl. She is super interesting haha. But i love her!! I'm sooo happy, she is a brunette. Ha I was really hoping for that. Two, blonde, white, 19 year old sisters is kinda hard to be taken seriously in Lahaina. She also isn't really trained.. so I'm kinda training her. Its fun! Missionary work is coming along a lot more easier each day! I dont go everyday having to remind myself to do things, its now MY LIFE! That I love! I never want to stop. Ha I love it so much, and I cant say it enough. Oh and we have texting now!! So to be able to text investigators and recent converts and less actives is SO awesome, we are having so many lessons, super busy... sometimes we have to skip lunch. Wow Heavenly father blessed me so much this passed week and taking over the area.

Something really cool that struck me this week was something Sister Roma said, "Love Jesus Christ because he is your Savior, not because of your blessings" Which is SO true. If you dont have that firm, solid testimony of Jesus Christ being our Savior, when trials come and you don't have all your wonderful blessings you had before, are you going to give up? Its so important that we have that deep love for him and come to know who HE truly is. He truly is our rock and our foundation! Love Jesus Christ for who He is and all He has done and all He can help you with, not just for your blessings:)

Ok! Hope you liked the stories.. sorry got a lil carried away with them. Haha have a wonderful GRAND week my awesome family. Thankyou for being so great. Keep going to church, reading scriptures, family night, and praying and keeping it a priority! I'm out teaching that everyday and it makes me SO happy to know y'all are doing it back at home:) Love you so much!!
Talk to you next week:)
aloha
